Renewable energy activities that began within Çalık Enerji in 1994 were established as an official and independent entity under the name Çalık Renewables in August 2024.
Its primary focus has been on the development of renewable energy projects as an investor. Following its establishment, Çalık Renewables took over the operational activities of solar, wind, and hydroelectric energy projects in Turkey.
By the end of 2024, the company made a significant international move by initiating the construction of the 72 MW Zatriq Wind Power Plant in Kosovo under a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
Starting in 2025, Çalık Renewables launched R&D activities within the scope of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) project. In this context, a strategic agreement was signed with Turkish Airlines. Through this new initiative, the company aims to transfer its expertise in renewable energy to sustainable fuel technologies.
Today, Çalık Renewables continues its business development activities by focusing on renewable energy projects in European countries, particularly in the Balkans and Turkey.
