The 3rd Turkey-Africa Economy and Business Forum, organized by the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEİK) to improve Turco-African economic and business relations, was held in Istanbul on October 21-22 under the sponsorship of Çalık Holding.
Working with a principle of creating permanent values in every part of the world it operates, Çalık Holding participated in the forum through Çalık Enerji, Gap İnşaat, Lidya Madencilik and Aktif Bank.
More than 3,000 Turkish and African businesspeople from 45 countries attended the 3rd Turkey-Africa Economy and Business Forum. Many topics from energy to agriculture, from health to the banking system were discussed and panels were organized to discuss cooperation and investment opportunities between Turkey and African countries with the participation of state managers and private sector representatives.
Çalık Holding Chairman Ahmet Çalık, received the Turkish-African Business World Award from President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for "Opening the way for the Turkish business world in banking relations in African countries and contributing to the development of infrastructure by realizing energy projects in the African continent".
