As part of Çalık Holding's traditional 'We Break Or Fast in Anatolia' organization, this year's iftar events will take place in Erzincan. Iftar dinners will be given for about 1,500 people everyday during Ramadan in the area in front of 'Gemi Business Center' at the center of Erzincan. Iftar tables by Çalık Holding will gather people in Erzincan together around the common feeling of brotherhood to serve the unifying and integrating purpose of Ramadan.
Highlighting that the month of Holy Ramadan brings more abundance, Çalık Holding's Chairman Ahmet Çalık says, "As Çalık Holding we are glad to come together and share our bread with people from different cities every year during Ramadan. This year, Erzincan will be the next stop of our iftar dinners which were previously organized in the earthquake victim city of Van and, last year, in the city of Prophets, Şanlıurfa."
Ahmet Çalık emphasized the importance of focusing on moral values besides the feeling of sharing and underlined the need to show common sense and modesty especially in this month. "We see values generated by every region across Anatolia which run in the blood of our society and appeal to all humanity. Anatolian lands are fertile in terms of reflection. As Çalık Holding family we are very happy to host our traditional iftar dinners in Anatolia, which has been a home to the greatest civilizations on earth. We are deeply influenced by the warm and friendly attitude and sincerity of people living on these lands where most of us came from. I would like to take this occasion to join local people and our brothers living in Turkey or abroad in celebrating Ramadan and wish this holy month brings peace, serenity, and brotherhood to our nation and humanity."
Çalık Holding started to host iftar dinners in Anatolia in 2012 and demonstrated an exemplary sensitivity by canceling the traditional iftar event in Istanbul and touched the heart of people in Van with the iftar tents set up for a month, followed by next years' iftar event in Urfa. As part of the 3rd year of the event, iftar tables will be set in Erzincan accompanied by prayers jointly by the Governorship of Erzincan, Erzincan Municipality, and the Turkish Red Crescent for 30 days.
