UPT, the first global money transfer and payment platform of Turkey, will provide the infrastructure for the money transfers between the two countries in accordance with the agreement executed by and between PTT, AzerPost and Aktif Bank. Turkey and Azerbaijan will be connected by use of a single system for the money transfers upon the agreement, executed in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan.
Highlighting that they are happy to serve as a bridge between the two brother countries, Hakan Özat, the General Manager of UPT, said; "This system, we established for the purpose of directly performance of the money transfers of the postal services in Turkey and Azerbaijan, makes us feel proud. Thanks to such system, our customers in both countries will be able to benefit from the direct, fast, cost-effective money transfer service provided by the Postal Services. We believe that such service will provide contribution for the economy of both countries".
